Franklin County Boom Not Being Deployed -- For Now:
> After Bonnie threatened boom all across the panhandle, Franklin County quickly removed its prized investments from the harsh weather. But now that it appears that there is no eminent danger to Franklin county's coast either by weather or by oil (at least for now) and the county says they are tapping the brakes on re-deploying the boom. The County will keep the 140,000 feet of boom stored on land, but says if there is a threat they will re-activate it between 8 to 10 days in advance..
